Protégé Software

Today, I came across a software  called  the Protégé Ontology Editor developed by Stanford Center for Biomedical Research.
It is a free open-source Java tool providing an extensible architecture for the creation of customized knowledge-based applications. This Protégé platform supports modeling ontologies via a web client or a desktop client. Protégé ontologies can be developed in a variety of formats including OWL, RDF(S), and XML Schema. This software will help all those who are involved in constructing domain models and knowledge-based applications with ontologies.
